Meet
William Gaulden

William C. Gaulden Jr. was born on February 20, 1980, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His parents were the late Rev. William C. Gaulden Sr. and Ethel R. Gaulden. He was raised in Grand Blanc, Michigan, alongside his brother Patrick Gaulden and sister Patrice Faust.

Following the passing of his father on February 25, 2001, William and his family relocated to Athens, Georgia. During his father's funeral services, William developed an interest in the processes surrounding end-of-life care, which inspired him to pursue a career in this field. In 2004, he joined the team at Winfrey's Mutual Funeral Home in Athens, Georgia.

On February 10, 2006, William married Katrina Resha Monegan.

To enhance his professional expertise and better serve his community, he attended Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, where he continues working toward obtaining licensure as a funeral director and embalmer. Motivated by a strong commitment to community well-being, in 2024, William decided to run for the office of Coroner for Athens-Clarke County. He is dedicated to contributing to positive developments within Georgia. Currently, William serves as Vice Chairman of the Athens-Clarke County Democratic Party.

Adocating for the Peach!

The reason I am committed to advocating for Georgians is that I work in a profession dedicated to supporting individuals during their most difficult times. Specifically, I am involved in funeral services. I believe our government should also provide support during such challenging moments. I am dedicated to coming to work each day to assist and serve the community.
